A group of adolescent girls and young women holding a banner with the words, 'AGIP's Adolescent Girls Advisory Committee (2025)'

The inclusion of adolescent girls is at the very centre of our work and prioritised within our coalition structure. We established AGIP’s Adolescent Girls’ Advisory Committee (AGAC) in 2023 to share decision-making power within AGIP. Committee members inform the work of AGIP at all levels and have the opportunity to collectively decide how they would like to engage with AGIP’s governance process and Board.

On the International Youth Day 2025, AGIP launched the AGAC Handbook that captures key celebrations, lessons, and insights from AGIP’s first Adolescent Girls Advisory Committee (AGAC), with the hope of inspiring more organisations to embed girl-centered decision-making at the heart of their work. This handbook was co-created by AGIP Cohort 1 Girl Advisors Darshana, Jaliyah, Luisa, Misati, Nhi, Paola, Rushna, Vanessa, and Ximena, together with AGIP’s Youth Engagement and Advocacy Specialist, Pooja. We hope reading this handbook brings you as much insight and inspiration as we found in creating it together.

Applications for the second cohort of AGAC are now open!

AGIP is inviting applications for its second cohort of Adolescent Girls Advisory Committee to share decision-making power with adolescent girls. Please review all documents in this folder thoroughly for all information related to eligibility guidelines, Terms of Reference, application process, Frequently Asked Questions, etc.
For more questions, please register for the Information session on 24th August, Sunday, 14:00-15:30 BST, 90 minutes, Virtual on Zoom. In this meeting, we will share key information about the AGAC Cohort 2 application, provide a space for interested applicants to ask questions directly to AGIP staff and hear from cohort 1 Girl Advisors.
