What We Do

The Adolescent Girls Investment Plan (AGIP) is a global, intergenerational, feminist coalition working to drive transformative change for and with adolescent girls. We bring together civil society, researchers, advocates, and girl leaders to strengthen collective action and ensure that adolescent girls are prioritised in global and national agendas, investments, and accountability frameworks.

At the heart of AGIP’s work is a commitment to shifting power ensuring that adolescent girls are not only visible, but meaningfully centred in decision-making processes that shape their lives. We work across advocacy, evidence, and meaningful girl engagement and safeguarding to influence policies, unlock resources, and strengthen systems that respond to girls’ realities and rights.

We do this by:

Driving girl-centred advocacy that aligns partners around shared priorities and pushes for accountable, adequately resourced commitments

Bridging evidence to action, translating research into girl-friendly, accessible tools and insights that inform policy and programming

Strengthening meaningful and safe girl engagement, ensuring that girls’ lived experiences, leadership, and voices shape agendas at all levels

Convening a diverse coalition of actors to coordinate efforts, amplify impact, and build collective momentum for change

In a rapidly shifting global context marked by shrinking civic space, declining funding, and growing backlash against gender equality, AGIP works to ensure that progress for adolescent girls is not only protected but accelerated.
